Ses gestes ne brusquent rien, Mickey prend même son temps pour déblayer le terrain qui lui fait encore obstacle et ses yeux remontant vers Rhett remarquent bien la nervosité qui l'habite encore. (…) Car non, il ne bâclera rien et promet même de commencer en douceur, celle-ci s'avérant déjà présente lorsqu'il se fraie un chemin jusqu'à son point d'action et le défait une bonne fois pour toutes de tout ce qui l'encombre. La suite ne sera que plaisir, c'est la promesse que son regard semble lui faire avant de concrétiser sa demande sans un mot de plus.

De la suivre, parfaitement. Disons que Mickey ne l'exclut pas et que cette idée ne le rend pas non plus allergique, retrouvant même des réflexes qu'il pensait avoir perdus et sentant au même instant un certain désir gronder en lui, au point de le pousser à venir lui souffler. « Je crois que je suis assez curieux de voir au contraire à quel point tu pourrais m'abîmer. » Qu'on le ménage est bien la dernière chose qu'il souhaite quand avant tout, Mickey a besoin de sensations fortes pour se sentir vivant. Cet interdit lui tend les bras et pour une fois, ce n'est pas dans ses drogues qu'il pourrait trouver refuge, en admettant toutefois que la rousse ne soit pas faite que de belles paroles et qu'il parvienne lui-même à lâcher prise. Ce n'est pas comme ça qu'il pourra sauver son mariage, et c'est l'unique frein que Mickey peut encore se mettre tandis que sa résistance promet malgré tout d'être faible.
(Siobhan pov) C’était une promesse qu’elle allait réaliser avec délectation, ce n’était pas tous les soirs qu’elle pouvait planter ses ongles dans l’épiderme d’un homme considéré comme l’un des plus puissants de son pays. Il allait figurer à coup sûr dans son palmarès, elle ne manquerait pas de le mentionner dans son petit carnet, où seules ses conquêtes les plus marquantes avaient le droit à de beaux encarts.
